My prophet is a brand.

Inspired loosely by biblical descriptions of the ark of the covenant, the three works in this series reflect on religious relics and peoples' belief. Regardless of our religious affiliation, we always carry our faith with us, but what about our prophets, in a time when we consider the church a spectacle, religion perhaps even a symbol of oppression?

What is our religion?

Each of the 3 individual works consists of two elements; a wooden demountable frame and a hand-woven cloth. They can be set up and displayed in many variations, or taken apart and transported. Thus we take our relic and shrine with us on our journey. An individualized religion, without fixed content or commandments, without false obedience, martyrs and completely without brand.
